What do you do with your Negativity Bias?

Happy new year!

What a vlog to start the year – it’s Angie Strachan, performance poet extraordinaire.

Angie says,  “This poem is about our nagging inner critic that likes to focus on the negative.  Since prehistoric times it has been there to keep us safe from harm but the challenges we face today are very different from the dangers that our prehistoric ancestors faced.  When our negativity bias gets a bit noisy, unrealistic and over critical, we need to take a moment to be mindful and refocus our thoughts.”

You can follow Angie on LinkedIn, Facebook @AngieStrachanPoetry and Twitter @AngieStrachan75

If you want to catch Angie live, you can see her at the National Poetry Slam Championships at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow on 13th January.
