What do you do when faced with a colleague’s mental health issues?

2.38.1 D YWhat do you do when a colleague of yours is unwell with stress or mental health problems? Research for our new dramatic e-learning programme Headtorch WORKS, found that many people:

  • Do absolutely nothing.
  • Think that ‘it will go away’.
  • Are scared of what they might find if they simply ask “How are you?”.

As a result people avoid ‘the problem’… and we all know what happens to problems when they’re ignored.

Mental ill-health at work costs the UK economy £26 – £30 billion every year – it’s an expense that can no longer be over-looked.

Headtorch WORKS, our dramatic e-learning programme tackles avoidance head on. Each of the 3 Episodes and discussion groups enable people, from all levels within an organisation, to have the confidence to handle sensitive and supportive conversations.
